What was the main challenge you had before starting coaching?
Before starting coaching, I felt quite dissatisfied in my work but couldn’t really pinpoint exactly why. I described it as wanting “better job satisfaction”, but that was too vague; I didn’t know what that might look like.
What has been the biggest benefit you have got from the coaching?
The biggest benefit has been pinning down what is important to me in my work and career. Leigh helped me unpack what job satisfaction means to me. Through a series of exercises, I moved from chasing promotion for its own sake to understanding what genuinely matters to me.
I have also noticed an increase in my overall confidence. By taking a more proactive approach to conversations about my needs and career development, I’ve stepped outside my comfort zone in ways I simply would not have done before. I now have a plan!
What did you like most about the coaching relationship?
I really valued having a dedicated space to think. Talking my thoughts through with Leigh brought focus to my thinking, which led to several surprising lightbulb moments around assumptions I had been unconsciously making up to that point.
I particularly liked the support around what Leigh called ‘job crafting’, identifying specific aspects of my work to expand upon, now made possible by a clearer understanding of what is important in my life.
If you were to recommend Leigh to a friend, what would you say?
I would say that Leigh creates a thoughtful, structured space that genuinely helps you understand yourself better. She listens carefully, challenges assumptions at the right moment and uses tools in a way that leads to real breakthroughs.
